What is the Stout Club?

Stout Club is a creative powerhouse composed by the comic creators Eduardo Medeiros, Mateus Santolouco, Rafael Albuquerque and Rafael Scavone.

Driven by the idea of teamwork, the club members take advantage of a rich environment to exchange artistic skills and develop their personal and collaborative creations in a writers’ room adding to each project years of individual experiences in the international market of visual storytelling.

Some of its published properties include “Eight” (Dark Horse Comics), “Mondo Urbano” (Oni Press), “Open Bar” (Panini Comics) and the upcoming “Hidden Society” (Dark Horse Comics).

Meet the Members

Eduardo Medeiros

Eduardo Medeiros is a comic book author well know for his acid humor and unique art style. Eduardo has several books published in Brazil and United States, including: Mondo Urbano (Devir/OniPress), Sopa de Salsicha (Cia das Letras), Marvel Strange Tales (Marvel), Gotham Academy (DC Comics) and Open Bar (Panini Books).

Mateus Santolouco

Mateus Santolouco is a comic book author better know for his acclaimed work with IDW’S Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Mateus has been working for most of the major comic book publishers in United States since 2006, passing by DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Image Comics and Dark Horse. His most recent work is IDW’s “Shredder in Hell”, a five issues mini-series that Mateus wrote and draw.

Rafael Albuquerque

Rafael Albuquerque is an Eisner, Harvey and Inkpot Award winner for the NY Times Bestseller American Vampire. He has been working for the major comic book publishers in United States since 2005, as from his work on All Star Batman, Batgirl, Huck and Eight. His most recent projects include the adaptation of the popular Neil Gaiman’s tale A Study in Emerald, Mark Millar’s Hit-Girl and Dark Horse’s Hidden Society.

Rafael Scavone

Rafael Scavone started writing comics in 2014. His main works includes Wonder Woman, All-Star Batman, Mark Millar’s Hit Girl and the adaptation of the popular Neil Gaiman’s tale A Study in Emerald. His creative partnership with Rafael Albuquerque continues in the upcoming Dark Horse’s Hidden Society.
